Other than emails I’m really taking this week off (I mean does anyone actually work the week between Christmas & New Years?!). But since these are kind of time sensitive images, and since she’s my sister, I’m working…but only for as long as it takes me to write this blog. Don’t worry the blog resumes regularly scheduled posts next week, pending the birth of my nephew!
We’re officially on baby watch over here! The baby’s not technically due until January 8, but Carter been showing signs of labor for weeks now, and her doctors are shocked she hasn’t gone into labor yet!!! With every text or ring of my phone, I jump. Could it be time?! Not yet, but any second now. So in the meantime, I blog. I blog and wait, and try to explain to Ada that her world is about to change. If I had to guess she’s going to kiss that baby all over, or possibly smack him in the head. Either way, it’s going to be so cute seeing the two of them meet for the first time.
My sister picked a good due date for me seeing as it’s off season (thanks sis!), but the prep leading up to a baby fell smack dab in the middle of wedding season this fall. I’m talking showers, shopping and maternity pics. We barely squeezed these in a few weeks ago, and almost thought they weren’t going to happen. That’s one of the reasons we did her beach maternity photos over Thanksgiving. If that’s all we had time for, at least she had something. Thankfully, he stayed put and we were able to take these of the whole family. It wouldn’t have been the same if we didn’t get some with the big sister! This little man better get ready, because he’s got a lot of doggie kisses coming his way!
CC & US we are so excited to see you two become parents. You’re the best aunt and uncle, and I know you think you love Ada, but just wait. You’re about to experience a deeper love than you ever thought possible, and for that I am so excited for you! Thank you for letting me take your Raleigh maternity portraits and putting up with my intense desire to capture every single moment with an image. Love you two more than I can say!
