Sometimes this crazy profession bring us the best new friendships, and this is definitely one of them. Three and a half years ago, thanks to a referral from our friends over at Twenty One Films, we got an email from this couple. One thing led to another and suddenly we were their wedding photographers! At the time we were sending out welcome questionnaires after booking suggesting the couple have a coffee date together to fill it out. Nate misread the note thinking we were asking them to a coffee date, and the rest is history! We’re so thankful for the miscommunication because it opened up a door for us to get to know them on a couple to couple level, and from there it really has flourished into a beautiful friendship.
When Andrea told me she was pregnant, my eyes welled up with tears of joy. These two already had the biggest hearts, but watching it grow as they became new parents over the last year was so special. Walking into their house for Sophie’s Raleigh newborn session, knowing that their entire lives had changed in the most amazing way possible, was so emotional. Sophie completes their family. They are truly natural parents, and she is truly a gift from God.
Daily I am thankful for this industry and the people it brings into our life, for friends like this family. And I’m thankful that even after the wedding, the relationships continue with milestones like having a baby!!! I’m thankful that our daughter gets to grow up with people like this in her life. That she has automatic friends built in because of what we do. It’s a truly special profession.
Andrea, Nate & Sophie, we love you three and couldn’t be happier for you! Thank you for choosing us almost 4 years ago. Congratulations on Sophie’s arrival. She is absolutely perfect in every way.
