Now for the not so obvious. This is Jenna’s best friend. The girl who has been by her side since her freshman year of high school, and she’ll continue to stand by her side this November as her matron of honor. She has held her hand through the important things, cried for her and with her, and was there the day she got engaged.
She’s also on staff at my faves Greenhouse Picker Sisters. She’s a huge part of their team, helping to organize and style, and keep the craziness sane. In fact, after years of hearing about the elusive AnnaLaura, we finally met at a styled shoot early last year that she was working with GHPS! We quickly put two and two together, realized I was still open for her wedding date, and the rest is history.
As a wedding photographer, several things are out of my control. Two of the biggest ones are weather and emotions. I can’t make unemotional people emotional and I can’t make the sun do what I want no matter how many times I ask. I’ve tried, trust me.
I was also given the most beautifully emotional group of people. I will never forget all the happy tears. All the sobbing smiley faces. Most of all I will never forget Scott, and the way he looked at AnnaLaura. How he broke down when he saw her during the first look and again as she walked down the aisle. I’ll never forget how she took his breath away in such a soul-filling way. Beautiful doesn’t begin to describe it.
I’ll never forget how AnnaLaura stood there with him, as his rock, lifting him up with her kind words and telling him over and over again how much she loved him. For such a young relationship, they’re so solid. They’re absolutely, one hundred percent, meant to be together.
I end every post with a thank you because I truly want people to know how thankful I am they chose me as their photographer. AnnaLaura & Scott, it’s no different. I know Jenna didn’t give you much of a choice (just kidding!), but you did have a choice. You could have chosen anyone and you asked me. For that I am and will be forever grateful.
Couples like you are why I love what I do. You made me fall in love harder with both my husband and my job. Your light shines on everyone around you, and I hope that never changes. Congratulations! We wish you all the happiness and adventure that marriage has to offer!
