Showing up to engagement sessions, can be intimidating. Most of the time, I don’t meet my couples in person until it’s time for their pictures. We’ve talked a bunch, have Facebook stalked each other, and become friends by this point, but usually haven’t met face to face. So, I never really know what to expect. Will they be shy, awkward, hard to photograph…or will the show up like these two with the biggest smiles on their faces and head over heels in love?
I was standing by my car getting my equipment ready, when Ali pulled into the parking lot of Eno River State Park. I knew instantly it was her, even through the shine of her driver’s door window. She parked, jumped out of the car, and ran over for a big hug. I knew instantly it was going to be a good day. We walked all over the park, photographing them and their dog, Parker. Talking and getting to know each other even better. Their story is adorable. They told me about the proposal, and how he was so nervous she was worried on the drive down to Charleston, SC. But how, he knew she was the right one, so surprised her by popping the question with all her family in town from New Mexico!
We can’t wait for their wedding this coming spring, just for the simple reason of spending more time with them! Congratulations you two! Thank you for letting us in, and allowing us to capture this special time in your lives!
Parker is the cutest!
One of my faves!!!! Loved the fall day they were given!
Those trees, that couple. LOVE!
You two…!
This real emotion below was another one of my favorites! When couples just let go, magic happens!
And then we found this field!
Hope you two love all your pics!
