Oh how I love when engagement season roles around. I cherish my winter break, and feel so refreshed because of it, but boy do I miss taking pictures. I miss capturing moments that are romantic, intimate and full of joy. These first few sessions of the year, are always my favorites! They’re also kind of nerve wracking because I haven’t picked up a camera in a little while, but when my couples are like Cora & Jay, those nerves disappear at the first click.
Five seconds into their Raleigh NC engagement portraits, I stopped them and commented on how natural they were in front of a camera. To which they replied that everything I had them do was a perfect representation of who they are as a couple. They snuggle, hold hands, laugh, spend every second possible together. In short, they’re in love and setting the foundation for a very strong marriage. In my opinion, your spouse should be your absolute best friend. These two have that down!
Their wedding is one that I’m looking forward to most this year! They’re keeping it an intimate wedding with less than 40 guests, and a private dinner reception! They’re eliminating the stress that a bigger wedding can often cause, and are allowing themselves the chance to fully soak in their day. I can’t wait to be there with them, capturing it all with my camera, and being part of the best day of their life. Intimate weddings are my favorite and always get my creative juices flowing to the max!!
Cora & Jay, thank you so much for braving the cold temps for these pics and not complaining! We are so blessed to have met you two, and can not wait to spend your wedding day with you!!! Enjoy these last two months of being engaged. Soak it all in, and remember how amazing you think your relationship is today, because it’s about to get so much better than you can even imagine!
