We had the privilege of photographing this lovely wedding on our 11th wedding anniversary. We usually try to reserve the day for us, to celebrate our marriage and take some time as a couple, but when you’re an Asheville wedding photographer, and your anniversary falls on a Saturday in spring, it’s inevitable that you’ll be working. But you know what, that was ok with us. What better way to celebrate and honor our marriage than by documenting the start of someone else’s? And we couldn’t have picked a better couple to spend it with. They knew it was our anniversary and were insistent on us taking some time to celebrate it. They gave us a place at their guests’ table and dedicated a song to us during the reception so we could share a dance on our anniversary. It was a day I’ll never forget!
This couple has impeccable taste, and put together one breathtaking mountaintop wedding! Their ceremony table was filled with beautiful arrangements handmade by the bride’s mom with a bible that was her grandmother’s! The reception decor sparkled as it always does at The Crest Pavilion, but I can’t go without mentioning the STUNNING floating centerpieces that were hung from the ceiling! Oh, and her bouquet! She had part of her mother’s gown wrapped around the stem, what a lovely way to honor her parents marriage! And that dessert spread was as yummy as it looked!
Not only did we get to work with a super sweet couple, but we also got to work with some of our favorite Asheville wedding vendors!! We’ve been so thankful to develop some really great industry relationships in the area even though we live at a distance! We couldn’t have handpicked better vendors for this day!
