The Experience

I opened my business in 2010 and have spent years perfecting an experience for moms just like myself. Busy moms who want beautiful images but don't know where to start. I take the stress out of photos by providing your wardrobe, helping you create memories and art while giving you the opportunity to fully engaged in your family session because I'm handling all the hard details.

The Experience
Here's what you can expect:
- Full Session: 4-6 weeks before your full session: a virtual planning appointment where we'll finalize all the details as well as choose your wardrobe from my collection of luxury gowns.
- Mini session: - About 1 week before your mini you'll receive a check in email with final details about the session, weather and general questions.
- Session Day: a wonderful relaxed session of your family where I’ll guide you in poses and position you in beautiful light for the best quality images.
- 3-4 weeks after your session: this period is used to develop any film from your session and edit your images in the signature AJDP style.
- 4-6 weeks after your session: a virtual reveal and design appointment to show you your images, choose your digitals and begin designing your heirlooms.
During your entire AJDP experience you can expect prompt, professional and friendly communication. I pride myself on creating beautiful images and a beautiful experience.

When light allows, I photograph with a film camera.
Like old school, send off to a lab and develop...film.
Why?
Simple answer: film allows me to be the best artist I can be.
Film gives a sense of nostalgia like nothing else. It allows me to create the type of art for my newborn and Raleigh family photographer clients that makes my heart creative happy, which in turn makes me more creative for you! Film images have feeling and movement, like life just jumps off the photo. Almost as if you can feel the moment happening.
It's the best medium I've found to deliver true to life, frozen in time moments, while retaining true colors and light as a family, maternity and newborn photographer in Raleigh. It's a slower, more intentional process. This allows me as an artist to slow down and connect with my families. Letting the moment unfold organically, and wait for that perfect moment to click the shutter.

Inquire about a full session
Full sessions are 1-2 hour long relaxed sessions where we create lifestyle and traditional portrait images. They’re usually in your home or on location outdoors. Full sessions are for moms who want a variety in posing, backgrounds, playful images and more from their session than simply a smiling portrait. They are perfect for full family sessions, maternity& newborn sessions as well as extended family sessions.
Full Sessions start at $700 & include 5 digital files.
Additional files & heirlooms available for purchase during the reveal appointment. On average families invest between $1000-$4000 on files and printed pieces
25% Multi Session Discounts for expecting families.
Full Sessions
Mini sessions are 15 minute sessions, scheduled on specific days and locations. They’re designed for moms who want a quick updated family portrait. These sessions are great for holiday cards, pregnancy announcements, and updating your favorite frame. The focus is a smiling portrait of your immediate family.
Mini Sessions are $275, and include 2 digital files.
