Back when we were still in the planning process, I asked why they chose Kingsmill Resort for their venue. They told me that they wanted to get married on the water, and Kingsmill is the perfect fit for them because it’s right on the James River! Sydney & Jeff’s ceremony was on the lawn and looked out onto the James River. They had absolutely perfect weather for their June wedding. Clear skies, and it actually wasn’t hot! There was the perfect amount of a light breeze coming off the water too.
Sydney’s gown and the mint dresses her girls wore were the perfect look for mid-June wedding. Their classic ballroom reception was complete with touches of mint and blush. The new couple gave out little baby succulent plants as favors to their guests, and they were adorable (keep scrolling, and you’ll see!). One of the best parts about Kingsmill is the marina. So of course, we had to slip out of the reception for sunset portraits at the marina! It was perfect, and a quiet little moment away from the reception. Afterwards, Sydney & Jeff danced the night away with their friends and family! We are so thankful to have been a part of their beautiful Kingsmill Resort wedding!
