This one is personal. This one is family. Two sentences in and the tears are already flowing! I have such a soft spot in my heart for our family. Not a single day goes by where I don’t say thanks for the amazing family we have on both sides of our marriage. I know so many people struggle with family relations, so trust me when I say I don’t take ours for granted. We are so, so very blessed, and I am so thankful for that. We’re far from being a perfect family, we don’t see everyone as often as we would like, but we love each and every member, and we love the time we get to spend with them. I mean all of this about Kyle’s family as much as I mean it about mine. I am so happy to be part of this crazy bunch. I look at them like they were mine first, not the other way around! And I am oh so happy for our cousin finding his one true love.
I spoke about it in their engagement post, so I won’t rehash the same feelings. Instead I’ll condense it into this: I love Erin so much. I have been waiting for her since the moment I married Kyle! Her heart is pure gold, and she brings something out of John Aaron that we’ve never seen before! I am so happy she’s now officially part of the family!
Watching the two of them, and their daughter Evlyn, become a family was certainly an emotional day for all who were there. I have no idea how I took any pictures through the ceremony, because all I did was cry from the moment I saw Evlyn walking down the aisle. It was a beautiful ceremony with so many precious memories.
And then there was dancing. So much dancing, that we actually got to participate in!!! We traded off taking photos of the dance floor and wore our dancing feet out! Ada even joined in the fun a little bit! She wasn’t feeling too well, so she went home early, but I loved having her at “work” even if it was only for a short while.
I could go on and on, but seriously everything about this day was perfect, beautiful and meaningful.
Erin & John Aaron, I don’t even know where to start with a thank you. You two keep texting us and telling us thank you, but really we’re the ones who need to say it. Thank you for giving us this honor and trusting us with your day. This is the start of your family, and we were so privileged to take the photos that you’ll look at and reminisce over forever. We are so happy for you two! We are so happy to have been part of it! Congratulations on the start of a beautiful marriage. We wish you so much happiness & a lifetime full of adventures together!
I just want to send out a personal thank you to each and every vendor who made Erin & John Aaron’s day so perfect. You all mean so much to me, and I’ll never for all you did to make this family wedding so unforgettable! You are a dream team:
