Getting to photograph someone’s wedding is, of course, one of the biggest honors ever. The fact that a couple trusts us to photograph their wedding day is something I’ll never take for granted. And oftentimes, our couples also hire us to capture their engagement photos for them. I always tell people that engagement sessions are one of my very favorite things to photograph. Engagement pictures are a fun, relaxed session where I not only get to know the bride and groom, but they also get to know me and how I typically shoot and pose. I like to think of engagement sessions as a warm up for the wedding day. This spring engagement session was amazing in every way! Jackie & Chris were truly naturals in front of the camera.
I know that their spring wedding next year at The Barn of Chapel Hill will be nothing short of sweet and beautiful. Jackie & Chris are so kind and sweet together. I hardly gave them any poses or prompts during our session; they didn’t need it! These two just moved down to North Carolina not that long ago. They are both engineers, and I loved hearing about how they met during school. They are on a new adventure together after moving to North Carolina and both starting new jobs. I know that marriage will be such a fun, new step for them, and I am more than excited to photograph their wedding day next year!
These two make such a beautiful couple together. Jackie wore the perfect blush dress for their spring engagement session. They way she had her hair done matched flawlessly with her flowy dress and the outdoor location that they picked for their session. Ambria of The Makeup Addict did Jackie’s makeup, and Stacey of The Makeup Addict did her hair. I loved the look they created for her! Jackie & Chris, thank you for choosing me to photograph your story during this season of your lives. I cannot wait to have you two in front of my camera again at your spring wedding next year. It’ll be here before we know it!
