This sweet little girl’s mom is one of my oldest and dearest friends. This fall it’ll be 20 years of friendship! I can only think of a handful of people who’ve been in my life that long (outside of family of course). My friendship with Seldon is one of my most cherished relationships. It’s the kind that is unwavering. We can go for months without talking and pick right back up where we left off like no time has lapsed.

I’ll never forget her email that she was expecting. We’d talked and dreamed about having kids, and seeing the dream coming true for her was so amazing! And then to find out we’d be raising daughters at the same time. My heart could burst with happiness! Our girls will only be a few months apart, and I can only hope they’ll grow up as dear friends as their mamas.

We planned for months for Miss Scarlett’s newborn portraits. Except, you can’t really plan for newborn pics, can you? We wanted them as early as possible, but also had to plan around my wedding schedule since I’d be traveling in to be her Asheville newborn lifestyle photographer. We picked a weekend, and hoped that she’d be there in time! Thank goodness it worked out as perfectly as possible! Scarlett was born a few days before I was scheduled to arrive, and we got to capture these sweet moments when she was only four days new!

Seldon & Mark, the whole Dunlap family couldn’t be happier for you all! You two made the most perfect baby, and holding her for the first time is by far my favorite memory of our 20 year friendship! I still can’t get over her cuteness or those highlights in her hair as a brand new babe. Congratulations on joining the wonderful world of parenthood! You are such naturals in this new role, not that I had a doubt! You two were meant to be parents and it shows in every single picture below!
