It’s fun to be on the other side of the lens. As wedding photographers, we don’t often get that opportunity. Having a baby, has definitely changed that for us. We want to make sure our life is documented for her. Sure, we take our own portraits of her all the time, but we want her to have photos of her parents to look back on too. Especially, images that are happy and playful in nature. That’s us. That’s our little family. There’s nothing we’d rather be doing than spending time with each other.

But it’s hard to document that ourselves. So when our friends over at Hartman Outdoor Photography, asked us to trade with them a few months ago, we were all for it! I took their portraits before Christmas, but we asked them if we could wait until Adeline turned 6 months to do ours. We scheduled it for February, fully expecting freezing cold temperatures and secretly hoping for snow. Instead we got the most gorgeous 70 degree winter day, and instead of snowboots, we let Ada go barefoot!

Shelley, you did such a great job with these! We love every single image! Thanks for photographing our little family so we can have these memories to treasure forever : )
